I am loving the work I’m doing with my antagonists right now. I realized that I kept using my antagonists simply to foil my protagonists’ plans.

Which is what antagonists do. But they should have plans and schemes of their own that are bigger than simply being an obstacle to the heroes.

And I love thinking of villains as heroes in their own circles.

So, I’m stuck inside during a nor’easter, chain-drinking tea, and playing around with my villains.

Not a bad day.
